When The Luxury Network NZ invited celebrity stylist Gab Waller to Hawke’s Bay for a day of premium experiences, they entrusted me to document the occasion—capturing not just moments, but mood, atmosphere, and brand alignment.
 

The Brief

The brief was to visually encapsulate a day of curated luxury, set against the stunning backdrops of Cape Kidnappers, Black Barn Bistro, and Summerlee Accommodation. This wasn't simply event photography—it was about telling a story of connection, exclusivity, and refined elegance.

The Experience

Gab Waller, internationally renowned for her work styling A-list celebrities, enjoyed a round of golf at Cape Kidnappers, one of the world’s top-ranked courses, perched on dramatic coastal cliffs. The morning was crisp, with cinematic light—perfect for candid editorial imagery that felt both relaxed and luxurious.

Following golf, the party moved to Black Barn Bistro, where Gab and her hosts enjoyed a long lunch in one of Hawke’s Bay’s most iconic vineyard restaurants. My aim was to blend into the background, capturing refined storytelling images that felt organic rather than posed.

Throughout the day, I also documented her stay at the private and beautifully appointed Summerlee Accommodation—a venue that speaks the same language of high-end, understated luxury.

The Outcome

The result was a cohesive portfolio of images that reflect the values of The Luxury Network NZ and their ability to host world-class figures in style. The final gallery was used for PR, social media, and internal branding purposes.

This job reinforced the power of blending brand storytelling with location-driven lifestyle photography—a signature style I’ve developed over years working with both commercial and private clients.
