As a professional Taupo photographer, Richard Wood brings a creative and highly awarded approach to every project — from architectural and commercial work through to fine art and tourism photography. His imagery captures the character of the central North Island, showcasing Acacia Bay, Taupo, and the wider Bay of Plenty with high-quality architectural and hospitality photography for luxury holiday homes, boutique accommodation, restaurants, and tourism operators. He has authored four online courses as part of The Portrait System and regularly presents workshops and lectures worldwide. His work has earned numerous global accolades — including Grand Awards at the Asia Pacific Photography Awards in consecutive years, recognition at WPPI and the International Icon Awards, and the title of New Zealand Professional Photographer of the Year on five occasions. He holds the status of Grand Master with three bars with the NZIPP — the highest honour in New Zealand professional photography.
