Beyond Hawke's Bay: The Angler's Table.
Great photography travels. Ahead of their launch, I was commissioned by The Angler's Table, a bold new café with a strong visual identity, to produce food and brand imagery for their website and printed materials.
The brief called for photography that did more than show the food well. It needed to carry the café's confident branding through every frame, feeling like the place itself rather than a generic studio shoot. Using directional light shaped to mimic real afternoon sun, paired with the café's own saturated colour palette, the final images introduce the café to its community with the same visual energy the brand is built on.
It's the kind of project that reflects how I work on every shoot: understanding a brand's identity first, then building imagery that earns it.
